The YPN Community Involvement Team works to develop opportunities for young professionals to connect with civic and governmental organizations and empower each to be active participants within the community. In addition, the team strives to broaden its reach to various not-for-profit and community organizations, encouraging YPs to to get engaged in long-term volunteer opportunities and board/committee positions.
The Community Involvement Team conducts quarterly roundtable discussions with the mayors of South Bend and Mishawaka. Each discussion is open to 20 YPs and topics are based on current events and issues in our community. An e-mail invitation will be sent prior to each roundtable discussion. Registration is required and is on a first come, first served basis.
Roundtables with Mayor Rea take place at the Mishawaka City Hall and Mayor Luecke roundtable events take place on the 13th floor of the County City Building in downtown South Bend.
